Hi, My name is Maria Matthews and I am currently an Illustration student in Melbourne, Australia. I have been however a creative person since I can remember. I love to draw and I am discovering a love for painting and other mediums. I also like to do digital media and I call myself a photographer by hobbie. I created this blog for to promote myself and for you to enjoy :)
Wow, I cannot believe that I am finishing the first semester already! And I have done so much work in TAFE so far! It’s all so fast paced that I fear that if I blink, I will be graduating from my Diploma. Now its all about handing in the work, waiting for some feedback on my marks and a five week holiday. I can’t wait for the next semester though.
I just got my Certificate IV in Design in the mail this week. I forgot I get a piece of paper for the studying and work that I did in 2011 :P. Gee so much has changed since my very first day in TAFE. I feel a lot more confident, more creative and more independent in the way that I work on my art. Last year was eye opening, jaw dropping and gob smacking.
Speaking of studies, I am going to extend my diploma with an advanced diploma of product design in 2014. That is if it is still there after the TAFE cuts though. But fingers crossed!
